Sun spots and pigmentation are one of the main concerns and reasons that people seek advice from skin care professionals. Unfortunately, they are also some of the most stubborn skin ailments to treat.

The most common presentation of pigmentation is hyper-pigmentation. Hyper-pigmentation occurs when the skin produces more melanin (the pigment that gives skin its color) which causes spots or patches of skin to appear darker than surrounding areas.
