Our Cautious Approach to the Reopening of The Woodhouse Day Spa, North Bethesda

| by Caitlin Plummer, under Woodhouse Services

Many of you have asked when we will be opening our doors and commencing spa services at The Woodhouse Day Spa. While the anticipation of our re-opening is exciting, and we are incredibly enthusiastic about reuniting with our guests, we intend to be deliberate and measured in our approach.

As Montgomery County prepares to reopen with Phase-2 on Friday, June 19th, The Woodhouse Day Spa must regrettably remain closed for services. The new Executive Order for Montgomery County Phase-2 prohibits buisnesses that perform esthetic treatments and massage services from opening. While the news of this delay is disappointing, the announcement of our reopening is likely just around the corner. We thank you all for your continued patience.

Since your last visit we have worked responsibly to ensure the sanitation of the spa for the safety of our guests and our team. Before opening our doors, we want our guests to know that we are proactively preparing to welcome you home to The Woodhouse. We want to do more than just meet CDC and State recommendations for safety, we want to meet your expectations for the safety and well-being of your family and ours. Here are some of the actions we have taken:

  • Having the spa professionally cleaned and sanitized using Microshield 360 antimicrobial technology.
  • Looking at all current spa procedures and protocols to better protect our guests and team members while at the spa.
  • Re-imagining the guest check-in/check-out process; experience in treatment rooms and exposure to all public spaces, including; the retail area and changing lounges.
  • Occupancy limitations in our Quiet Room and food and beverage service.
  • Training all of our staff in sanitization protocols specific to virus and infection control and prevention.
  • Ensuring we have sufficient inventory of personal protective equipment for our guests and team members.
  • Updating our opening hours and appointment scheduling to help limit the number of guests in the spa and to allow for thorough sanitation between guests’ services.

We will continue to communicate updates on reopening to our guests through email and our social media channels, to be added to our mailing list click here. We thank you for your support and patience.
